Friends

Being friends with someone is a crazy thing sometimes. We have all met people over the years that we call friends.

I'm still friends with a few people from high school, but it seems that only one of us talk's to each other. Even though with the others we may like or give an emoji response on social media, we never really talk.

I would assume that distance plays a role in this as i don't live near where I grew up. With that being said the one friend I do communicate with dosen't live near me either.

Maybe the one underlying factor is the USMC . We didn't join at the same time, but did serve in the same unit together. As a matter of fact most everyone I served with are closer to me than people or family I grew up with.

Maybe it's just a military thing and or distance combined.

With that being said, it would make me happy if we could all meet up back home and just sit around and bullshit for a day and get to know one another again.

Till next time

PS, the picture I've added to the blog is me and dan circa 1991 at camp Lejune North Carolina .

stars

Do you ever just stop and look up at the stars. It's one of my favorite things to do when I'm in a place to see them properly.

In the past couple of weeks I have seen several meteors *mostly in California and New Mexico). I always wonder how far they have traveled before crashing into earth.

One of my favorite spots to watch the stars is near Roswell, New Mexico, and not just for the alien aspect of it lol.

To the west of town there are a couple of picnic areas, and at night when it's clear I could stay forever and just look up. There is also a atlas missile silo near by.not used any more but the signage for it is in the east bound picnic area.

The best spot I have ever been to was Bolivia. We were at over 14,000 feet with absolutely no light pollution and it seemed like you could almost touch them.

Whether you look up or down there is so much to see and discover in this world of ours.

Till next time 😀

space

After watching the recent space x launch, I was reminded of watching the first space shuttle launch while in the 6th grade.
I wish more time and effort was spent on exploring space and are own planet. I'm sure more could be discovered, especially on earth.
I'm sure interest in it and money are a big factor. Perhaps we could sell sponsorships for space ships to raise a little extra money. Kind of like nascar.
You could have tide sponsor one. "For the freshest smelling space suit use the all new space tide ". Or napa "for all your rocket motor needs shop napa ". Maybe tang would make a comeback lol.
I think what I'm trying to say is, there is so much out there to discover whether it be in space or our own back yards that old and young alike would benefit from doing a little exploring.

Till next time 😊

does anybody read these things,or am I just not interesting enough lol

My buddy Dan started blogging again maybe I will to 🤔🤷
