Who do you fight for

My new favorite show the expanse starts it's 5th season tomorrow. I didn't get into it at first, but I was stuck somewhere for a few days and watched it.

I think what I like about it is that the technology portrayed could very well be available in the near future. There's no shields , laser beams,  or warp speed, but still some pretty good action and a good story line.

Till next time...... who do you fight for

I love space

Another good show from SpaceX and NASA. I always enjoy watching these launches. It makes me dream a little

Got up last night just to watch them dock with the space station and was super pleased with the coverage. One day maybe I'll get to go.

Space vacation

What would you pay to go to space. A million dollars? Me, I would probably pay just about anything if I was able. I do think that one spending a few days on a space station will probably be normal for some people. Maybe by the time our kids have adult children it will be common place.

I'm gonna say it will probably be a little on the expensive side for a long time. Would be good to help drum up investment from the private business side. Also the less government money the better. Not that I'm against using tax dollars for space exploration but the government in general,  I don't think has the best management skills πŸ˜‚.

Exploration 2

Something I would like to see, is a bigger space station. It would probably take a long time to build, but would definitely be worth. It could probably be partially financed with "space tourism ".

There is a book by Buzz Aldrin about exploring Mars and part of it talks about a ship or space station that travels between Mars and Earth on a continuous basis. https://images.app.goo.gl/WKAg1Sp3fNeLK9EW7

Even something to the moon and back would be great for the future of space exploration.

If you can't tell by now , but i love space lol. It has always been on my mind since the 6th  grade and I watched the first manned space shuttle launch.

Exploration

Exploring or world and solar system is a passion of mine. Every time I watch a video or news clip I get a feeling that we are holding ourselves back.

I'm a firm believer in exploring space and with knowledge learned from that, combined with knowledge of exploring are own planet, will provide answers for a lot of questions.

Perhaps this is already being done on a larger scale than what the public is told. Of course money plays a big part I'm sure of. Everyone has to have their piece of the pie.

I don't know where I'm going with this particular post. I'm not much of a political person. But I'm a firm believer in that if you cut the major powers of the world military's in half we could accomplish such feats as taking care of the human population and exploration.

E.T.

Aliens? Are they already here. Have they been here and left for good. Was or is earth an experiment for them.

I definitely don't have an answer, but on my travels I have a lot of time to think about such things. Not that I believe my thoughts one way or another lol.

I guess it's more of a what if. I think I'm going to start with a different scenario each week and let my imagination run wild.

One such scenario might be that the powers that be found the aliens secret base on earth and were able to harness their power, and now use to control the world population through smart phones and fb ,and other things.

I have many more theories about it, but it will have to wait for now.

Life

Well I guess the dog days of summer are over, now it's the dog days of September, because it's still freaking hot lol. I wouldn't mind going to Wyoming or Colorado and sitting in the snow for a minute or two.

It seems time flys faster when you get older. To me it seems the months all just merge together. We all remember when we were young and wished we were older so we could do more stuff, and now were older and have way much stuff to do πŸ˜‚.

Anyway I've cut back on how long I'm away from home. There are several reasons, but the main one is my kid will be 16 in November and I've not been to hardly any of his childhood functions. Hopefully in about year I can have a whole different job and be there every day.

I used to like what I do but the rewards don't outweigh what I miss anymore. It's definitely time to relax and find something more enjoyable and be able to enjoy the world and my surroundings more

Till next time

Space 3

I'm reminded of my love for space in recent days as the new Mars rover was launched and today the two astronauts launched by SpaceX come home. I was in west Texas this morning and had a great view of a big and bright moon. It caused me to pull over and have a break and watch it till sunrise.
What excites me about the new Mars rover is you could register your name and it would be etched into some sort of micro chip and be up there probably forever.
I've shared a few links here if any one is interested.

Friends

Being friends with someone is a crazy thing sometimes. We have all met people over the years that we call friends.

I'm still friends with a few people from high school, but it seems that only one of us talk's to each other. Even though with the others we may like or give an emoji response on social media, we never really talk.

I would assume that distance plays a role in this as i don't live near where I grew up. With that being said the one friend I do communicate with dosen't live near me either.

Maybe the one underlying factor is the USMC . We didn't join at the same time, but did serve in the same unit together. As a matter of fact most everyone I served with are closer to me than people or family I grew up with.

Maybe it's just a military thing and or distance combined.

With that being said, it would make me happy if we could all meet up back home and just sit around and bullshit for a day and get to know one another again.

Till next time

PS, the picture I've added to the blog is me and dan circa 1991 at camp Lejune North Carolina .

stars

Do you ever just stop and look up at the stars. It's one of my favorite things to do when I'm in a place to see them properly.

In the past couple of weeks I have seen several meteors *mostly in California and New Mexico). I always wonder how far they have traveled before crashing into earth.

One of my favorite spots to watch the stars is near Roswell, New Mexico, and not just for the alien aspect of it lol.

To the west of town there are a couple of picnic areas, and at night when it's clear I could stay forever and just look up. There is also a atlas missile silo near by.not used any more but the signage for it is in the east bound picnic area.

The best spot I have ever been to was Bolivia. We were at over 14,000 feet with absolutely no light pollution and it seemed like you could almost touch them.

Whether you look up or down there is so much to see and discover in this world of ours.

space

After watching the recent space x launch, I was reminded of watching the first space shuttle launch while in the 6th grade.
I wish more time and effort was spent on exploring space and are own planet. I'm sure more could be discovered, especially on earth.
I'm sure interest in it and money are a big factor. Perhaps we could sell sponsorships for space ships to raise a little extra money. Kind of like nascar.
You could have tide sponsor one. "For the freshest smelling space suit use the all new space tide ". Or napa "for all your rocket motor needs shop napa ". Maybe tang would make a comeback lol.
I think what I'm trying to say is, there is so much out there to discover whether it be in space or our own back yards that old and young alike would benefit from doing a little exploring.

Till next time 😊

thunderstorms

Spring thunderstorms are one of my favorite things. I love thunder and lightning, and the way the air smells afterwards.
Although they can bring unwanted things such as hail and tornadoes, which seen from afar are pretty awesome. They also bring a freshness to the air and give the vegetable garden and farm crops a good jump start to the season.
One of my favorite things to do is watch them pass in the distance in the early evenings or at night. The lighting shows can be spectacular.
That's all for now. Till next enjoy your life and nature.

blogging

I have never created a blog or thought of doing one until a friend of mine started.
I have all kinds of thoughts and ideas while I'm driving down the highway (I'm a truck driver). But it seems as soon as I stop they disappear.
I think what I should do is maybe record them and maybe try and write them down later.
Most of my ideas revolve around what I do, or should do when I'm at home with my family.
My friend said I should let it flow when it comes to blogging and this is what came to me first.
Maybe talking about doing and actually putting this little bit down will help the process.
Till next time.

does anybody read these things,or am I just not interesting enough lol

My buddy Dan started blogging again maybe I will to πŸ€”πŸ€·
