Get to the choppa

 Today is another big day. The Mars helicopter ingenuity will try and take flight this morning. I will not be able to watch live, but look forward to watching the videos later. 

And also SpaceX has been selected to build the lunar lander. I think Congress will probably make a stink of this, but I also think that NASA should be put in private hands. At least partly anyway, in an attempt to generate more capital  

Also let's not forget the other companies trying to get into space like blue origin and rocket lab .don't know allot about either one, but will definitely start doing my homework.

Space is freaking awesome

 Lots of space stuff going on in past few weeks. SpaceX testing the starship and launching starlink satellites. Also I believe today the are moving around one there craft on the space station because of parking issues. Imagine that, parking problems in space lol.

The mars rover dropping ingenuity so it can be tested. I can't to what's instore for both perseverance and ingenuity. Also curiosity is still sending pictures back. 

Have also watched rocket lab launch a few satellites. Needless to say I'm very happy to be able to watch every thing and I hope to see young people get more interested in space, and science or exploring in general.

Fishing

 I'm sure I've said it before, but fishing is one of my all time favorite things to do. 

It's not so much about catching anything, but more of just being outdoors. I could sit for hours and just watch the water go by. 

I was at the sporting goods store today and picked up a couple of things for white bass. They won't run up the nolin for a few more months, but when they do it's a lot of fun catching them.

Its been awhile

 It's been awhile since I posted anything. I guess I got caught up in work and life in general. 

SpaceX continues to be in top form. I really did like the test of the starship made for Mars, it didn't stick the landing, but still a good job.

The new Mars rover will land soon. Hopefully I can be in a position to watch . The only thing that concerns me is with a new administration, what will happen to the moon missions. Only time will tell I guess. 

Spring will be here before you know it. I plan on spending a lot more time outdoors . I think that's one of my biggest issues is being cooped up in this truck all the time.

Who do you fight for

 My new favorite show the expanse starts it's 5th season tomorrow. I didn't get into it at first, but I was stuck somewhere for a few days and watched it. 

I think what I like about it is that the technology portrayed could very well be available in the near future. There's no shields , laser beams,  or warp speed, but still some pretty good action and a good story line.
